This site

What is this for?

For many years I had the the nicholasking.com site, that was part blog, part portfolio.  it went through many changes and I spent a lot of time and money in the process.  I’d used plain old HTML (using Notepad!), Dreamweaver, HoTMetaL Pro (which was great), Microsoft FrontPage (eugh!) and latterly WordPress.

Then I ditched the site!

An odd thing to do having spent so much time on it, but it was pointed out to me that I was spending more time editing the images and configuring portfolios etc than I was actually out with the camera.  And pressurising myself to create content when my reader base was, well, me (and maybe by son).

So…..I’m letting WordPress.com take the strain.  I have rejoined the Royal Photographic Society in the hope of passing an exam or two, and most of my images will be up on Instagram.

So there you have it.  Remains to be seen if I fire up nicholasking.com again, who can tell?

In the meantime…..where’s my camera?
